Afyacon ("we", "us") operates a group purchasing, sourcing and networking platform for Kenyan healthcare. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it. By using Afyacon you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information — names, phone numbers, email addresses, and facility or business details you provide at registration.
Credentials — licenses, certificates and identity documents uploaded by suppliers and professionals for verification.
Transaction data — orders, catalogue items, payments and delivery records.
Usage data — login times and activity needed to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use information

To operate group purchasing, consolidate orders, and coordinate deliveries and imports.
To verify the credentials of suppliers and professionals before listing them.
To process and confirm payments, and to send transactional SMS updates.
To keep the platform secure and prevent misuse.

3. Facility privacy in the supply chain

Protecting facility identity is core to how Afyacon works. Suppliers fulfil orders against an anonymous facility account code only. Facility names and phone numbers are masked from suppliers; only Afyacon's operations team can match a parcel to a facility, using QR-coded dispatch stickers at the consolidation hub.

4. Sharing of information

We do not sell your data. We share information only as needed to run the service — for example, sharing a professional's contact details with a facility after the professional responds to that facility's job request, or sharing masked order details with suppliers for fulfilment. We may disclose information where required by law.

5. Data security

Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing. Access to identifying data is restricted to authorised Afyacon staff. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, though no system is perfectly secure.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct or request deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Facilities and suppliers can update most details directly in their dashboards; professionals' changes are reviewed before publication.

7. Retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting and operational purposes.
